Our Story

Discover the story behind Witches & Weirdos Events and Vendor Collective. Learn how Jay and Sav's passion for helping a friend's business and nurturing alternative vendors sparked a unique and thrilling event planning adventure in Greater Sudbury.

About Jay

Jay has been on both sides of vendor events and markets.

Graduating in 2016 with a diploma in Event Planning and Public Relations, Jay has an extensive track record of working with non-profit organizations, event hosting, creative writing forms, research and marketing. She also has experience with Crisis Management and Leadership roles, giving her the elbow grease she needs to run and manage ambitious endeavors.

Before Witches and Weirdos, Jay was a vendor first. Jay has travelled across Ontario from 2021 to 2024 with her business; The High Priestess Holistics - selling crystals, candles, pins, and other metaphysical items for your everyday modern witchy needs.

Jay is the co-owner and co-creator of The Witches & Weirdos Events and Vendor Collective. She is known as the "witch" and the "mother" of these events.

About Sav

Sav is a vendor first, and creates nature terrariums using the whimsical beauty of nature; turning them into art. Autumn Amber Roses Oddities brings respect and love of nature in all forms.  Sav also offers apparel with Autumn Amber Moon.

Before Witches and Weirdos, Sav focused on volunteering in the community. She works in Health Care and maintaining her Union role as "Women Advocate." People Advocate, really. Standing up for the rights of the individual.

She is a Co-Owner and Co-Creator of The Witches & Weirdos Events and Vendors Collective. She's better known as the "weirdo" and "father" of the events.

What We Offer

Witches & Weirdos Events is a warm, inviting space full of unique performances, vendors, and tattoo shops, bringing together like-minded people and welcoming the general public. It celebrates the strange and the usual, and offers fun workshops for everyone to enjoy.

What started with just 10 vendors and one tattoo artist has grown into a vibrant community! The idea was to connect the alternative community and small businesses to one of its own; a local horror shop. It quickly evovled and is now a place where the Witches and Weirdos of the North can flourish with no rules or restrictions and free of judgement.

Expect to see some wonderfully strange creations and engaging performances in a friendly atmosphere filled with kind-hearted people who share the same passions and interests.

All food vendors and tattoo artists are certified by health authorities, and practitioners and readers are carefully selected. Vendors are thoughtfully selected by the Witches and Weirdos Team through an application process.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community, the public, and our vendors. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today.

We’re also honoured to have been nominated and awarded "Best in Entertainment 2025" through Sudbury's Community Votes. Thank you— from our humble beginnings in the little red room at the back of a local horror memorabilia shop, to our sold-out halls and tickets. We love you all!

The future looks bright and exciting, with even bigger things on the horizon for Sudbury and Northern Ontario.

Be there or BEWARE.
